Daniel Sigg  

Daniel SiggDaniel Sigg is the Managing Director of Institute For Technology Transfer.


Daniel is a technology expert, business leader, a physician, scientist and entrepreneur with over 20 years of professional leadership experience in clinical, academic and large MedTech, Pharma, and small Biotech (University of Basel, University of Minnesota, Medtronic, Novo Nordisk, and LecTec). Daniel is an Executive with significant expertise in research and development, and business management.


He held positions as CEO of NanoCor, a Biotech company, as CSO of LecTec, as Medical Director of Novo Nordisk and as Program Leader of Biotechnology, Medtronic. Daniel has also significant clinical experience, and is a board-certified Anesthesiology. He published over 20 peer-reviewed articles, and is inventor of over 20 patents and patent applications, and is editor of a major textbook in Cardiac Electrophysiology. 


Daniel received his MD from the University of Basel, Switzerland and his PhD in Physiology from the University of Minnesota. He holds an adjunct assistant professor appointment with the Department of Physiology, Medical School at the University of Minnesota where he teaches regularly.
